A Little Child Shall Lead Them

It’s amazing what God will do if we just tell someone about what Jesus did for us all and His Kingdom. I have been telling a woman about the authority of Jesus name and Kingdom for almost 1 year now. This woman’s little girl had her first communion on May 6, 2006. Before that date, I began praying and asking others to pray that she would also receive the Holy Spirit on that day.

The day came for her to take her first communion and then afterwards the family had a party. At the party, I noticed that all of the children were talking about God much more than usual. They were drawing pictures and talking about His greatness and His resurrection. The little girl was walking around with a little teddy bear that sang “Jesus Loves Me” when you pressed its hand. She would force the adults to listen to this song over and over again.

Well, as the parents were carrying on at the party, the son asked me to help him get a paper airplane out of the tree. When I went outside, I began to try but was not successful. I told the son to pray and ask God to help us. He began to pray and soon the little girl and her friend came outside and they too began to pray. We were praying for a huge wind to blow through. Then, the children began singing praises to God. One little girl began singing “Father We Adore You”. As we continued, the woman's son said “This is not about the paper airplane; it’s about something else”. The girls then added, “We are making God happy.” Then the little girl ran and got her Bible and told me to read from it. When she got her bible, I remembered the story about the first Pentecost when the mighty rushing wind blew threw the upper room. At that moment, I realized we were also praying for a great wind to blow through our land. It’s amazing how God gets us to pray for things and we are not even aware of what it’s all about.

Two neighbors came out of their house to see what was going on because I am sure everyone could hear us praising God. They stood and look and I shouted “Praise the Lord” and they said “Amen”. After they went back in, I told the girls that I wanted to go alone and talk to those women but the two girls insisted on going with me. They then told me what we were going to do when the neighbors opened the door. We were to play the little teddy bear that sang “Jesus Loves Me” and the little girl would read her little prayer which was a profession of her Faith in Jesus and a request that she would always follow God obediently.

The women listened approvingly as the little girl verbally made her commitment to follow Jesus. They then blessed her. After that, the little girl became very determined that we should go to other homes and tell them about Jesus. We went to several homes and told about Jesus’ love. I became tired after awhile but the little girl insisted on going to two more homes. She said, “We must go to my parents and tell them”. So, we did.

It was an amazing day. Words cannot describe everything that took place that day. However, I can say one thing, it was definitely a work of the Holy Spirit and God showed up that day for this little girl's first communion party.

Whatsoever things are lovely

I had something lovely to think about today. At one time, I did not know why anyone would think about having children in this world. I figured the wisest thing is to just stop bringing innocent children into this most distressing situation we have created on earth.

But..... God has given me a revealation about having children. Of course, biblically speaking it is good to be fruitful and multiply. God commands us to do that. However, the Spirit of God opened my eyes to all of the God Given hope that comes with having a child. A little baby is like a container that holds God's answer to the despair we experience.

Since God through Jesus has reconciled us back to Him, every single child that is born is a little container of limitless Hope. Even though things go wrong over time, God never gives up. He continues to bless this earth with new opportunities for His Love and Overcoming grace to be manifested everyday through each child that is born.

Children Are A Gift From God

Joy From Unexpected Sources

I never thought I would be so happy. I never thought something so simple as babysitting a little baby or tutoring 2 young children would make me so happy. At the beginning of this year, I cried out to God and asked Him to bring some more people into my life because my life lacked "life". It felt as if my life had ended in this pool of uneventful sludge. Anyway, at the beginning of this year, I prayed that there would have a major change and in my mind, I pictured something more dynamic.

To Hold A Little One In My Barren Arms

Well, a few weeks ago, I started babysitting a little baby who is in desperate need. When this little one came into our life, I felt new life enter into my heart. I was so overwhemingly pleased and thankful with God. I told my Father in heaven that I never thought that this would be the new person in my life but I couldn't think of a more wonderful person. This little young man brought tears of joy to my eyes. May the Lord Bless him and keep him. May the Lord Make His Face to Shine Upon him. May the Lord Lift up His Countenance upon Him and Give him Peace.

Looking Into The Future

Now, today, I just began another little adventure with 2 new children. I am their tutor. Once again, I didn't think that tutoring could be so great. These children are so receptive. I see so clearly how children are our future. I have always had a head knowledge of it and heard people say it. I myself have said it too. But now that I am sitting face to face with these precious young ones, I know that I am looking into the future. I tutor them individually and I have already decided that we would pray before I begin class and pray when we finish. One is 10 and the other is 7. They are both so very eager to learn. As I type this I am thinking "God bless them both".

Someone That I Want To Get To Know

Well, today the Lord ordered my steps and once again He lead me in the right direction. He always leads me in the right direction!!!

HISTORY:
Last year, I met a couple through the Senior Meals on Wheels program here in town. One day while delivering a meal, I noticed there was a juicer in the kitchen. I asked the husband how he liked his juicer. He said he never uses it. I told him that I was actually interested in buying a juicer so we were going to make a deal. Later on, I called this dear man and we talked several times but never agreed on a price. So, I ended up buying a juicer brand new.

PRESENT:
This dear man passed away about a month and his wife is getting rid of some of his things. She called me and asked me if I wanted the juicer still and I said "Yes". I met her at the apartment and picked up the juicer. Well, one reason I wanted the juicer was to make juice for seniors in the area. I figured even though vegetable juice is good, if someone is sick they won't feel like cleaning the juicer and etc. I would offer a free juicing service. So, now I have two juicers and no seniors to juice for.

HE ordered my STEPS:

As I left the little apartment, I saw a woman walking and I felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit to talk to her. I approached her and asked wasted no time in asking her if she needed someone to juice for her. She explained that she had been through a serious illness and was also on a diet to lose weight. She also, said that she was juicing and had been juicing for herself for a while. So, she explained that she was well taken care of at the moment. Then as we continued to talk, she told me about a little support group for people who had the same illness she suffered with. And I began to talk about a little support group my Mother Hilda goes to for her illness. We laughed and chatted and I thought to myself "This woman is really funny and she has such a healthy perspective about life". She had been through a difficult surgery and went through some pretty severe trials but she is filled with joy! Since I told her that I wanted to juice for seniors, she tried to think of someone who might be interested and began to think out loud. As she was thinking out loud, I realized that I could juice for the seniors in my mother's support group. You would think that I would have thought about that along time ago; however, I didn't.

Someone That I Want To Get To Know:

This woman was so interesting and had such a colorful life. She is someone that I want to get to know. I think I will send her a little note or a card in the mail.

Lord, What Can I Do For Fun???

My Mother Hilda and I don't do very much. We may go out to eat sometimes and of course we go to church. So, lately I have been trying to find activities that we both can do and that don't cost much money. Well Praise God, He heard my cry and ordered my steps because I found something that was just so much fun for me.

There is a park in a near by city that has an Orange Grove located next to it. Anyway, from January to March, you can pick oranges. It is 5.00 for two bags. Picking the oranges is just a ton of fun (to me it's fun). And, the oranges are sooo delicious! I had the best time. I am so thankful that I found that little orange grove.

Praise the Lord!!!
